THE Gold Coast could be in for some more wet weather today.
Overnight showers are expected to pick up again today, with the chance of a thunderstorm as well.
Kevin Hutchins from the Bureau of Meteorology says it won’t hit until later on today.

“There’s certainly some showers around, and the chance of a storm,” he said.
“There’s nothing on the Gold Coast at the moment though.
“I think it’ll be this afternoon before you see any activity.”
There will be maximum temperatures of 26-31 degrees across the city, with the warmest weather expected in Nerang.
“They will be around for today,” said Mr Hutchins.
But he said the rest of the week is expected to be cooler.
“Once that trough moves off the coast, we can expect the winds to swing around to be out of the south west so that’ll lower the temperatures over the next couple of days.”
There is also a very high fire danger and a UV alert, with the UV level expected to reach 7 (high).
“If we do see thunderstorms today, it’s likely to be windy during those storms which won’t help with the fire danger,” said Mr Hutchins.
