WATCH: Car bursts into flames on Molendinar street

FIRIES have managed to extinguish a ferocious car fire on the Gold Coast this morning.

Around 10.00am, two fire crews were called to Macquarie Avenue in Molendinar following reports a vehicle had erupted into flames.

A Queensland Fire and Rescue spokesperson confirmed the car was well alight upon arrival.


Firies worked to extinguish the blaze, with the fire out by 10.30am.

No nearby properties were affected and no one is believed to have been injured.

It’s not yet known what sparked the fire.
