WATCH: First-ever Gold Coast Business Week deemed a success

More than 1000 locals attended events as part of the inaugural Gold Coast Business Week from 14 – 18 May.

Gold Coast business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals made the most of more than 20 workshops and events on offer throughout the week, with most free to attend.

Workshops focussed on a variety of areas including digital marketing, attracting talented staff and advertising, to name a few.

The highlight event of the week was the Gold Coast Way Ahead event at The Star Gold Coast, which saw seven Silicon Valley venture capitalists and entrepreneurs take to the stage for a curated Q&A and networking forum.

Hosted by Sky News chief business reporter Ingrid Willinge, experts on the panel included Steve Jurvetson, Jeremy Bloom, Jacqueline Garavente, Clementine Jacoby, Tony Conrad, Jayni Shah and Jody Medich.

Attendees learnt industry tips and trends emerging from some of the world’s leading companies like Tesla, Google and SpaceX.
