The Cooly Rocks On Festival has kicked off for another year, with five huge days of entertainment on offer at Coolangatta and Tweed until Sunday.
Locals and visitors will be able to enjoy the best of 50’s, 60’s and 70’s culture, with plenty of live music, dance competitions, retro markets, classic cars and more to check out.

The annual street parade on Saturday morning is set to be a highlight once again this year, with thousands of onlookers expected to turn out to watch the parade of floats, vintage cars, surf wagons, bikes, vans and more at 9:30am.

Competition will also be fierce at the Miss Cooly Rocks On and Miss Rockabilly contests, with ladies set to rock their best vintage and pin-up looks at the events.
Madame La Vie will be hitting the stage to compete in the Miss Rockabilly competition and told myGC she was thrilled to be taking part.
“Hands down the best thing about the festival is the vibe. Everybody is so supportive of each other, which is what I love about it,” she said.
