Woman carjacked at gunpoint in Logan carpark

A manhunt is underway after a woman was carjacked at gunpoint in Meadowbrook on Monday afternoon.

Police said the woman was in a carpark on Loganlea road around 3pm when she was approached by a man who asked to borrow her phone.

“He then produced what is believed to be a handgun and demanded the woman’s car keys and phone,” police said in a statement.

The armed man then took off in the woman’s blue Subaru Impreza, which detectives say has a Queensland registration of 028XYH.

He’s described as being Pacific Islander in appearance, approximately 160cm tall, slim build and black hair.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
