He passed away two days later.

Following investigations into the suspicious fire, police arrested a 46-year-old woman at a home at Marrickville just after 8.30am yesterday.

She was taken to Newtown Police Station and charged with murder.

Police will allege in court the woman tampered with the water supply and deliberately lit the fire in the granny flat knowing Mr Lindsell was inside asleep.

She was refused bail and appeared at Newtown Local Court, where she was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on 14 August.
