A WOMAN who suffered life-threatening injuries when the car she was in crashed and flipped into a river south-west of Tweed Heads has died in hospital.
The 53-year-old woman was a passenger in a car that crashed on the Tweed Valley Way at Condong, 25 kilometres south-west of Tweed Heads, on Friday afternoon, 23 September.
The vehicle left the road and landed in the Tweed River.

The 53-year-old female passenger was rushed to Tweed Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to the same hospital with less serious injuries.
Police released a statement last night, confirming the 53-year-old woman had sadly succumbed to her injuries.
She died at Tweed Heads Hospital around 7am yesterday morning.
A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
