UPDATE: POLICE are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body and a critically ill baby near Wollongong this afternoon.
Police said they were called to a house in Cotterill Avenue in Woonona after a concern for welfare around 2pm.
The body of a woman, aged in her 30s, was found inside the home.

Her eight-month-old baby boy was also found in the home critically ill. He’s been rushed to Wollongong Hospital.
A crime scene has been setup and police say they are in the very early stages of investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
At this stage, it is unclear exactly when or how the woman died.
A post mortem examination will be conducted to establish the cause and time of her death.

BREAKING NEWS: THERE are reports this afternoon that a woman has been found dead and a her baby boy in a critical condition in a New South Wales home.
