A WOMAN is being treated for head injuries after her car was flipped in a horror smash at Southport this afternoon.
The accident happened at the corner of Nind and Rawlins Street just after 4.30pm.
Early reports suggest a purple Holden commodore being driven by a young man on his P-plates smashed into the woman’s red car as she went to pull out of Rawlins Street onto Nind Street.

Paramedics stablised the woman in the back of an ambulance at the scene before she was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with head injuries.
Part of Nind Street both west and eastbound were closed to traffic while the scene was examined and wreckage cleared.
No on else was injured in the smash.
