A WOMAN is in hospital after being hit by a car in Southport overnight.
It’s understood the woman, aged in her 60s, was walking along Scarborough Street when she was struck just after 6.00pm.
Emergency crews including critical care paramedics and the high acuity response unit rushed to the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC the woman was treated by paramedics for head injuries.
She was then taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition
