A MAN remains on the run after attacking a young woman in a terrifying encounter in Brisbane’s north overnight.
Police say the frightening incident happened just before 10.00pm, when the 19-year-old woman was walking from Windsor train station.
It’s understood she was approached from behind by a stranger, who placed his forearm over her face.

The woman’s then screamed and tried to escape, however the man has struck her in the hip with an object, before pushing her to the ground and fleeing.
She suffered wounds to her hip, a swollen forearm and bruised knee and was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area or who may have seen the man running from the area is asked to contact police.
