Woman killed, five injured in shocking crash

A WOMAN has been killed and five other people injured – two of them seriously – in a shocking single-vehicle crash near Coffs Harbour.

Police said a Honda Odyssey carrying six people left Bucca Road at Bucca, 15km northwest of Moonee Beach, and rolled about 3.30pm.

Sadly, a woman travelling in the back seat of the mini-van was critically injured and died at the scene.

The male driver and a male passenger both sustained serious injuries and were airlifted to hospital in serious but stable conditions.

The remaining three passengers were treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries before attending a hospital, police said.

Officers from the state’s Crash Investigation Unit are on the scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
