POLICE are investigating a horror head-on crash between a car and cement truck which killed a woman in country New South Wales.
The truck collided head-on with a Hyundai i30 on the Newell Highway at Tomingley, near Dubbo, just before 10am on Tuesday.
The driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai, a 39-year-old woman from South Australia, died at the scene.

The driver of the cement truck, a 53-year-old man, was not injured during the incident. He was, however, taken to Dubbo Hospital as a precaution.
The crash site was declared a crime scene and examined by forensic police.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
