Woman killed in U-turn crash

A WOMAN in her 70s has tragically died following a two-car crash at Caboolture, north of Brisbane.

It happened on Beerburrum Road shortly after 2.30pm on Saturday.

Police said A white Ford Ranger ute smashed into the 72-year-old woman’s BMW sedan as she performed a U-turn at Tuckeroo Street.

Sadly, the woman could not be saved and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

She was the only person travelling in the BMW at the time.

The driver and sole occupant of the Ranger was treated for minor injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
