A WOMAN has been rushed to a hospital on the Gold Coast after she and another man were run over by a van on the New South Wales north coast.
It happened at Ballina, about 114km south of the Gold Coast, just after 8am (AEDT) on Friday.
Police said a man and a woman, both aged in their 60s, were walking along Sulva Street towards Shelly Beach Road when they were struck by a Kia Carnival.

The woman, 65, sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to the Gold Coast University Hospital while the man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The 27-year-old woman driving the Carnival passed a roadside breath test and was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for assessment and further testing, police said.
