Woman threatened with axe in terrifying carjacking at Logan

A WOMAN has been carjacked by a man armed with an axe at Loganlea.

The terrifying encounter happened as the woman was getting out of her vehicle at a business on Coral Street around 5.00pm.

Police say the man threatened the woman with a small axe before stealing her car keys and taking off in her vehicle.

Luckily, the woman was not hurt.

The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, aged in his early 20s with shoulder-length dark hair.

The vehicle is described as a yellow 2016 Hyundai Accent with Queensland registration 073-WLW.
