Woman treated for smoke inhalation after Canungra fire

A WOMAN has been treated for smoke inhalation after a grass fire broke out at Canungra overnight.

Emergency crews were called to a location in the Scenic Rim Region just after 8.00pm, following reports of a large blaze.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services worked to put out the flames, while Queensland Ambulance crews remained on standby for firies.


One woman was assessed and treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the patient “declined transport to hospital for observation.”
