Woman turns up at hospital with gunshot wound

A WOMAN has turned up at a hospital with a gunshot wound after allegedly being shot at a house in Sydney’s west.

Police said the 19-year-old attended Mt Druitt hospital about 1.20am with a gunshot wound to her left foot.

It’s understood the young woman was shot during an incident at a house on Hythe Street a short time earlier.


Police from Mt Druitt Police Area Command were called and attended the hospital to speak with the patient.

Officers then made their way to the Hythe Street home and declared it a crime scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.

The property was still being examined early this morning.

No arrests have yet been made. Investigations are continuing.
