Woman’s car stolen in frightening home invasion on northern Gold Coast

A woman has had her luxury car and handbag stolen in a frightening home invasion at Upper Coomera this morning.

It’s understood two men wearing balaclavas stormed their way into the home on Memorial Drive around 6.30am after gaining access through an unlocked door.

A 42-year-old woman inside the home confronted the pair, who threatened her with a screwdriver and demanded her car keys.

The terrified woman complied and the men took off in her white 2016 Jaguar XE sedan, bearing Queensland registration 311 XKK.

They also stole the woman’s handbag which contained her bank cards, personal identification and house keys, however thankfully no one was injured during the robbery.

Police say the men are believed to have turned up to the home in a matte black ute, which one of the men took off in.

Investigations are ongoing.
