A man has been charged with a string of domestic violence offences after allegedly biting part of a woman’s ear off.
The horrific attack happened just after midnight on Sunday, at a home in Mount Warrigal in New South Wales.
Police say it’s alleged the man grabbed the woman by her throat before pushing her into the lounge during a dispute.

A short time later, the man allegedly choked the woman and bit her right ear lobe, which was partially severed as a result.
The woman drove herself to Shellharbour Hospital where police were called.
Officers then searched the home, where they located and seized an imitation firearm.
A 29-year-old man has since been charged with malicious damage, two counts of strangulation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, inflict grievous bodily harm with intent and possess prohibited firearm.
