SIX people have been killed in Glasgow after a rubbish truck crashed through Christmas shoppers in the Scottish city’s main shopping hub.
It is reported the accident occurred on Queen Street near George Square.
It is alleged the driver lost control of the rubbish truck which ploughed through crowds of people shopping along the pavement of the city’s shopping area.

ABC reports, a Scottish police spokesman insisted there was nothing sinister about the Glasgow incident.
“It is a road traffic collision with multiple fatalities,” the spokesman said. “It does not look to be a criminal or deliberate attack.”
Police said the driver was receiving treatment in hospital and some British media reported that he may have suffered a heart attack.
The incident occurred just three days before Christmas.
