Year 11 student dies on school camp

A Melbourne teenager has died while on a school camp in South Australia.

The year 11 student from Huntingtower School in Mount Waverley reportedly passed away overnight while at the camp at the Plumbago cattle and sheep station.

The camp has since been cancelled and all students are now on their way back to Melbourne.

The principal of the school has said that all students and staff will be given counselling.

The cause of death has not yet been revealed, however 9NEWS reports the teen died of natural causes.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
