Yellow Wiggle Emma pulls out of upcoming Gold Coast show due to chronic endometriosis

Gold Coast kids will sadly miss out on seeing Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins at the group’s upcoming show at Dreamworld on April 17.

The popular Children’s entertainer has been forced to take time out from The Wiggles national tour to undergo surgery for chronic endometriosis.

In a statement and video released on Facebook, Emma said: “I’m so sorry that I won’t be able to perform in the upcoming Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle shows. I have been in a lot of pain for the past couple of years and on advice from my specialist, a difficult decision has been made for me to be urgently admitted to hospital to have an operation to manage the pain that endometriosis has brought on.

“I would like to send my love to all the other women experiencing symptoms of endometriosis, it is such a debilitating and painful disease and I urge anyone suffering with the symptoms of endometriosis to put your health first and get a diagnosis so that you are in the best position to manage this crippling disease.”

The Wiggles have announced they will have two female performers donning the yellow skivvy to play the role of Emma for the remainder of the national tour while Ms Watkins is recovering.
