Young boys allegedly used fence paling and metal pole to rob Qld drive-thru

TWO young boys have been charged over the armed robbery of a drive-thru in Townsville overnight.

Police say around 9pm, five people allegedly entered the Thuringowa business and threatened a staff member with a fence paling and metal pole.

The group allegedly got away with a quantity of alcohol.


Following investigations, officers located three people at a home in Heatley around 12am.

A 14-year-old boy was charged with one count of armed robbery in company and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of armed robbery in company, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence and stealing.

Police say investigations are continuing.
