Gold Coast paceman Xavier Bartlett has earned himself a place in the Queensland side to take on South Australia at the Gabba tomorrow following his impressive first class debut over the weekend.
Bartlett replaces fellow quick Mark Steketee in the 12-man squad, after he was ruled out with hamstring trouble.
Bartlett had a stunning debut against the Redbacks over the weekend, claiming 3-33 from 13 overs in the second innings of the Shield game. Queensland ended up winning the clash by four wickets, their first outright victory of the season.

Fellow paceman Billy Stanlake returns to the Queensland squad prior to linking with the Australian T20 squad to play the three-game T20 International series against Sri Lanka starting on Sunday.
Stanlake will also be in action for Australia at the Gabba next Wednesday evening in the second game of the series.
