100 alligators on the loose as floodwaters rise in China

100 alligators are on the loose in China after rising floodwaters allowed them to swim over their enclosures.

According to the South China Morning Post, the animals escaped from a farm in Wuhu, Anhui as persistent, heavy rain brought on by Super Typhoon Nepartak flooded the city.

The Wuhu Government has said that animal experts are working to recapture the animals, which are apparently timid, unless provoked.
