$1000 reward offered after child pinched on the buttocks by stranger

Police have offered a reward of up to $1000 as investigations into the assault of a young girl at Wolli Creek continue.

Around 9.20pm on Friday 4 November, a woman and her 12-year-old daughter were getting ready to exit a city-bound train when a man reached under the skirt of the child and grabbed her on the buttocks.

The woman got off the train and immediately alerted police who were nearby, however, they were unable to locate the man.

Investigators have now released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist. He is described as having a dark complexion, black, short hair and a large build.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a red polo shirt.

Anyone with information about the man are urged to come forward. A reward of up to $1000 is payable for information which leads to an arrest.
