Gold Coast small businesses can apply for up to $10,000 through the State Government’s Accelerate Small Business grants program.
The money, which has to be matched dollar for dollar by the applicant, is for accessing one-on-one mentoring or for the business to set up an advisory board.
Small Business Minister Leeanne Enoch said the program would help local businesses to increase their growth by engaging the help of high-level experts.

“By accelerating growth, this program will enable small businesses to grow and employ – meaning more jobs for Queenslanders,” Minister Enoch said.
The Minister noted some of the benefits others have experienced through the program.
“Businesses mentored in 2014-15, reported that in 2015-16 they had increased employment by 12 per cent, turnover by 7 per cent and gross profits by 18 per cent in the last financial year,”she said.
“The program calls on business owners to make a commitment to the success of the next stage of their development, including potentially moving to a medium-sized company.”
