A 10-year-old girl has been airlifted to hospital with suspected spinal injuries following a 4WD incident on Fraser Island overnight.
The youngster was riding in the vehicle with her mother when a series of bumps along the beach jolted the vehicle, injuring the child.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being flown to Hervey Bay Hospital by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.

The young girl was accompanied by her mother and is expected to undergo scans to determine the extent of her injuries.
