11 people arrested in drug raids across Central West NSW

Police have arrested 11 people after executing simultaneous raids across Central West NSW.

The syndicate was allegedly involved in the distribution and sale of commercial quantities of methylamphetamine and cannabis.

Just before 6.30am this morning, armed police from Strike Force Eurong executed nine search warrants – four in Dubbo and five in Wellington.

During the raids at Dubbo, police allegedly located drugs including ice, cannabis, fentanyl and prescription medication.

Officers also located a firearm and a number of suspected stolen items including three motorbikes, laptops, mobile phones, power tools and white goods.

As a result, 11 people have been arrested.

A 45-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man were arrested at a house on Lunar Avenue in Dubbo, while two other men, aged 33 and 41, and a 36-year-old woman were arrested at a set of units on Macquarie Street.

All five people were taken to Dubbo Police Station and are currently assisting police with their inquiries.

In Wellington, police allegedly uncovered a large stash of ice, cannabis and ammunition.

A number of suspected stolen items were also found, including laptops, mobile phones, jewellery and power tools.

A 25-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were arrested at a house in Reid Street.

A 30-year-old man was arrested in Gisborne Street. two women, aged 21 and 47, were arrested at Pierce Street, and a 33-year-old man was taken into custody on Curtis Street.

All six were all taken to Wellington Police Station where they’re continuing to assist police with inquiries.

Detectives are continuing their investigations and charges are expected to be laid.
