A large fire has broken out on a navy ship in the United States, injuring at least 11 sailors.
It broke out around 9.00am local time, on board the USS Bonhomme Richard in San Diego.
It’s understood the ship was in ‘maintenance mode’ when the fire broke out.

But there are concerns due to there being a lot of fuel on the ship, with the local fire chief reported the blaze could go on for days.
As many as 11 soldiers have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
While the nearby pier has been evacuated.
Federal fire fires are now on scene, trying to put out the flames from surrounding water vessels, with fears the ship will burn to the water.
The cause of the blaze is still unknown.
