AN argument between two children over a puppy has turned tragic in the United States, after an 11-year-old boy shot dead his 8-year-old neighbour in Tenessee.
According to local media, the young boy wanted to see the young girl’s new puppy – but she said no.
He’s then accused of going to retrieve a 12-gauge shotgun from inside his home and fired it at the girl as she stood in her front yard.

The gun, which was stored in a closet without locks, is said to have belonged to the boy’s father.
The young girl was shot in the chest and was quickly rushed to hospital but later died from her injuries.
There are reports that the pair went to school together and the little boy had bullied the young girl in the past.
The boy is being held in a juvenile facility pending his next court hearing, on October 28.
