12-year-old boy missing on NSW Central Coast

UPDATE: The 12-year-old boy reported missing on the NSW Central Coast has been found safe and well.

Luca Zonno failed to return home yesterday afternoon from walking his dog Purdy at Kariong.

He was found early this morning, apparently with his dog near Old Sydney Town, a museum near Gosford.

EARLIER: A search is underway for a missing 12-year-old boy the NSW Central Coast.

Luca Zonno left his Kariong home about midday on Sunday to take his dog for a walk.

He wasn’t expected back home until later that afternoon.

When the boy failed to return by 5pm, his mother contacted police and officers immediately launched an investigation.

An air and land search was conducting utilising a NSW Ambulance helicopter, the NSW Police Dog Squad, and numerous police officers from Brisbane Water.

At this stage the boy has not been located.

He has been described as Caucasian in appearance, about 140cm tall with a slim build and black hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark green jumper with red striped down the sleeves with black track pants and red joggers.

He was with his Dalmatian x Mastiff dog ‘Purdy’ when he left his home at midday yesterday.
