13 dead, dozens injured in horror tour bus crash in California

Thirteen people are reportedly dead and dozens more are seriously injured after a tour bus collided with a semi-trailer at “significant speed” in California.

The horror crash occurred around 5.00am local time on Sunday on the 10 Freeway in Desert Hot Springs.

Local media say the tour bus, owned by USA Holiday, was on its way back from a casino near the Salton Sea when it slammed into the rear of the truck.

According to The Desert Sun, the bus driver was among one of those killed.

The freeway has been closed, while investigations into how the crash occurred are ongoing.
