14-year-old Gold Coast girl charged with armed robbery
Police have charged a 14-year-old girl following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Nerang on Monday afternoon.
Police will allege around 5.15pm the girl, armed with a knife, entered the Adalong Place store and demanded cash from the shop attendant.
The 36-year-old male shop attendant complied with the demands and the girl fled the store on foot with a sum of cash.
The girl was located by police a short time later on McLarens Road and taken into custody.
A 14-year-old Nerang girl has been charged with one count of armed robbery and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
