A 14-year-old boy has been charged after he threatened a driver with a cigarette lighter shaped as a gun, in a terrifying road rage incident in Sydney’s south west yesterday.
Police said that just before 7.00pm, the 14-year-old passenger of a green BMW, which was being driven by a 15-year-old boy, became involved in a road rage incident with the driver of a prime mover.
Officers allege the young boy pulled out what appeared to be a small silver-coloured firearm and threatened the other driver, who contacted police.

A short time later, officers spotted the BMW in a nearby shopping centre and arrested the two boys, aged 14 and 15.
The 14-year-old was charged with intimidation and common assault. He was granted strict bail conditions to appear at a Children’s Court on Thursday 10 November.
The 15-year-old driver of the BMW was issued a youth caution for drive unlicensed – driver never held.
