UPDATE @ 3.45 PM | A 14-year-old boy who had been missing on the Gold Coast for more than 24 hours has been found.
Police confirmed in a statement a short time ago that the youngster was located safe and well on Tuesday.
The teen was reported missing after he failed to return home from an educational facility on Anne Street in Southport around 2.30pm yesterday.

EARLIER @ 6.00 AM | Police are calling on public assistance to locate a missing boy from Ashmore.
The 14-year-old was last seen leaving an educational facility on Anne Street in Southport around 2.30pm yesterday.
He hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
The boy’s described as Pacific Islander, approximately 170 centimetres tall, slim build, short dark hair, brown eyes.
He was last seen wearing a blue school uniform polo shirt and maroon shorts.
Police are concerned for the boy due to his age, and say his disappearance is out of character.
Anyone with information about him is being urged to immediately contact police.
