15yo girl found ‘struggling to breathe’ on Kings Cross hotel room floor, man arrested

A 40-year-old Sydney man has been charged with multiple drug offences after a teenage girl was found lying on the floor of a Kings Cross hotel, struggling to breathe.

Just before 12am today, emergency services were called to a hotel on Macleay Street in Potts Point following reports of a concern for welfare.

“Upon arrival, officers from Kings Cross Local Area Command located a 15-year-old girl lying on the floor struggling to breathe,” police said in a statement.

The teen was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Sydney Children’s Hospital.

A 40-year-old man was arrested and drugs believed to be methylamphetamine and heroin, drug paraphernalia, and a sum of cash were seized.

The man has since been charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, possession of equipment for administering prohibited drugs, and goods in custody.

He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today.
