NSW Chief Health Officer Doctor Kerry Chant confirmed that a 15-year-old was in hospital with the infection in yesterday’s press conference.
“This has been cleared by his family,” Doctor Chant said yesterday.
“I can confirm that there is someone admitted to hospital that is 15 and that the cause of their admission, while they are covid positive, is related to another health condition.”
Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce confirmed on breakfast TV this morning, that Osama has passed away.
“What an incredible tragedy it was for that young man to die last night,” Mr Joyce told Sunrise.
It’s not clear whether or not Osama’s death will be included in this morning’s update.
