Police have arrested and charged 17 people across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Caboolture accused of supplying drugs to inmates in Queensland prisons.
Operation Sierra Yellow has been running for the last 12 months targeting the supply of dangerous drugs both in correctional centres and the community.
Police carried out search warrants on eight properties across the southeast this week.

Police seized a variety of dangerous drugs including methamphetamine, cannabis, steroids and prescriptions drugs as well as a stolen vehicle.
It’s estimated the drugs and car had a combined value of around $500,000.
Police have charged a 69-year-old Sandgate woman with one count of trafficking dangerous drugs and four counts of supplying dangerous drugs within a correctional facility.
She is due to front Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 29.
A male prisoner is among the 16 others charged with 40 drug and property offences.
All are expected to front court in the coming weeks.
