WATCH: 18yo arersted over Gold Coast crime spree in stolen Jaguar

Dramatic vision has been released of a man trying to evade Police in a stolen Jaguar across the Gold Coast.

The luxury car had been stolen from a home in Mermaid Waters on Saturday.

Police began tracking the vehicle after it was spotted driving dangerously in Coomera around 2.30pm on Monday afternoon.

POLAIR vision shows the car driving along a footpath and on the wrong side of the road, narrowly missing other vehicles.

The Jaguar is seen driving into a petrol station on Ashmore Rd at Bundall where it was almost stopped by officers.

A Police car was allegedly rammed before the Jaguar took off again.

The car was eventually found abandoned at a Southport shopping centre carpark where an 18-year-old male was arrested after a short foot pursuit.

The Brisbane man has been charged with 13 offences including two counts each of burglary and committing an indictable offence, possessing dangerous drugs and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, receiving tainted property, producing dangerous drugs, possessing a knife in public, obstructing police, attempted stealing, possessing drug utensils and driving unlicensed.

Tyreke Terekia fronted Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday and will remain behind bars until next month.

A 26-year-old Coomera man and a 24-year-old Surfers Paradise woman, alleged to be the passengers of the car, were arrested in Ashmore trying to leave the scene in a taxi.

They’re facing charges of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, with the man also charged with possessing dangerous drugs, receiving tainted property and possession of utensils.

They will both front court next month.

Police say investigations are continuing.
