18yo charged over multiple Gold Coast chemist break-ins

An 18-year-old’s been charged in relation to two chemist break ins on the Gold Coast yesterday.

Police allege just after 5.00am yesterday, two men tried kicked the glass in at a business along Slatyer Avenue at Southport, before stealing a quantity of prescription drugs.

A short time later, the sliding doors were kicked in at a chemist at Homeworld Helensvale, where a quantity of fragrances and drugs were taken.


An 18-year-old man from Southport has since been arrested and charged with two counts of enter premises with intent and one count each of burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He’s due to front Southport Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing.
