Investigations are underway after a car crashed into a tree in Logan last night, leaving an 18-year-old man fighting for life in hospital.
A blue BMW was travelling along Waterford Tambourine Road in Waterford through heavy rain around 11.30pm, when it rounded a corner and lost control, crashing into a tree.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 11.40pm, where paramedics assessed five patients.

The driver – the 18-year-old man – was in a critical condition and was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with Critical Care and High Acuity Response Unit on board.
Two boys in their mid teens sustained minor injuries and were transported stable to Queensland Children’s Hospital, and two other male teenagers were taken stable to Logan Hospital with minor injuries.
Police, including officers from the Forensic Crash Unit, are now investigating the circumstances of the crash.
