18yo woman in court after shooting at bike riders in Sydney

A woman will face court today following a shooting at Shalvey last week.

Shortly before 8.30am on Thursday 3 December 2015, officers were called to Piccolo Way, near the intersection of Sedgman Crescent, after reports a shot had been fired from a vehicle at the location.

Witnesses have told police a green Holden Commodore drove through the intersection and fired a shot toward two males who were riding bikes in the area.

A crime scene was established at the location and examined by Mt Druitt detectives and specialist officers from the Dog Unit.

Following inquiries, an 18-year-old woman was arrested yesterday, Monday 7 December, in Guilford.

She was taken to Parramatta Police Station and charged with five offences including fire firearm manner likely injure persons/property, possess loaded firearm public place (x2), carry firearm manner likely injure person/property and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

The woman was bail refused to appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
