A young girl has been left traumatised after allegedly being dragged into a Sydney park and assaulted by a man wearing a balaclava.
The terrifying incident happened about 3.50pm yesterday, after the 13-year-old got off a bus on Mona Vale Road in St Ives.
“She was walking along the road when she was grabbed around the waist by a man wearing dark clothing and a full face balaclava, and lead to nearby Hasal Park,” NSW Police said in a statement.

The girl told police she was assaulted by the man before she managed to break free and escape.
Police said the girl suffered minor cuts and bruising to her face.
Investigations are now underway, with detectives calling for anyone who may have been in the area of Mona Vale Road, about 3.45pm yesterday, or Hasal Park, to come forward.
