$1M Cannabis crop found in neighbouring Sydney homes

CANNABIS with a potential street value of more than $1 million has been seized during raids in Sydney.

Police have confirmed, the bust was made as they carried out two search warrants on neighbouring homes on Bland Street in Ashfield on Friday morning.

The inside of both premises had undergone extensive modifications in order to cultivate cannabis indoors.

In one of the homes, officers allegedly located 173 cannabis plants; while in the second home, they allegedly found 182.

The combined estimated potential street value of the 355 plants is $1,046,000.

No one was at either home at the time of the warrants and police investigations are continuing under Strike Force Zambesi.
