A man has been busted driving nearly seven times over the legal alcohol limit after crashing his ute south of Sydney.
Around 11.00am on Thursday, officers were called to Picton Road in Cataract following reports of a crash.
Police say it appears a “Toyota Hilux ute was being driven west on Picton Road when it hit the centre barrier, veered back across the road and up an embankment, then rolled back onto the roadway blocking the westbound lanes.”

The driver, a 52-year-old man, managed to escape uninjured, however he was unable to provide a roadside breath test at the crash site.
He was arrested and taken to Wollongong Police Station where he returned a breath analysis reading of 0.304.
The man’s licence was suspended and he was issued a court attendance notice for the offence of high range PCA to appear at Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 26 September.
