A man is due to face Inverell court today, charged over the alleged indecent assault of three young girls known to him.
The 52-year-old was arrested on Tuesday following ongoing investigations by the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad.
Earlier this year, officers recommenced the investigation into the alleged historical indecent assault of two young girls.

Police said the incidents were reported to them in 2012, but were withdrawn before the investigation was finalised.
During the new investigation, a third young girl was identified as allegedly being indecently assaulted by the same man, leading to his arrest.
He has since been charged with three counts of aggravated indecent assault, victim under authority; three counts of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault where victim under the age of 10 years, indecent assault where victim under the age of 16 years, and commit act of indecency with victim under 10 years.
Police allege the man indecently assaulted the girls on numerous occasions between 2002 and 2012.
