More than 20 people have been busted shoplifting during a 1 day theft blitz in Sydney’s south-west.
Yesterday, police conducted a retail theft operation at shopping districts in Fairfield, Wetherill Pak, Bonnyrigg, and Villawood.
During the operation, 13 adults were caught shoplifting and were issued Field Court Attendance Notices and Criminal Infringement Notices.

Police said one male offender was allegedly busted attempting to steal $876 worth of honey. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of heroin.
Eight juveniles were also caught shoplifting and were dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
In a statement, police said they plan on continuing retail theft operations in the lead up to the Christmas and New Year period.
