A barge stuck on a sandbank near Brisbane leaves at least 200 furious passengers stranded for hours.
The barge headed for popular Queensland tourist destination North Stradbroke Island was immobilised around 5pm Monday.
There are reports it took the crew over an hour to tell the passengers what was going on.

After two failed attempts to tug the boat to the mainland passengers were told they would have to wait for the tide to come up.
After more than three hours at sea, the waters rose and all passengers arrived safely on the island.
